Cooper Chapel news - Funeral services were held here Friday for Mrs. Nancy Abernathy who died at the home of her daughter in Yeddo late Wednesday. Mrs. Abernathy was a victim of cancer and had been suffering for several years. Services were conducted by the Rev. McHargue. - kbz

Yeddo, Feb 5 – Mrs. Nancy Abernathy died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Royce of this community after suffering some time with cancer of the ear. Six children and 30 grandchildren survive. Funeral services were held at Cuppers (sic – Coopers) Chapel Friday at 10:30 o’clock.
